Since I have no beads or glasswork to show I'd like to share a song with you. It is from one of my favorite Turkish singers. I love all his songs but this one is especially my favorite. It is not a love song written for a person. It is a song written for a place, a region in Turkey. It is about The Mediteranean. I used to travel lot to Antalya to South of Turkey to see a friend (Nesli) when I was in university. I had many friends over there during those trips. And everytime I listen that song it reminds me of those times... how young, how free and how happy we were there... full of hopes and dreams... going from one beach to the other all day... staying up all night on the beach just to wacth the sunrise...

I am dedicating this song to all those friends over there but particularly to a very special friend, Elvan who has just moved to Canada recently. "My dear Elvan. This weekend I was having one of those "down days". I know it is normal having down days just like having up days. But this one was bit more than that. The thing made me worried that I even thought to quit working with glass seriously this weekend. I don't like anything I make recently, nothing comes out good from my hands. Especially the beads I tried to make on Saturday were disasters. I was going to throw them out of the window along with the all the rods and stuff if we weren't living up on the 4th floor. Even getting my new kiln on Sunday didn't give me that much joy. I was dying to have a kiln from the day I started to make beads but now it just sits on the floor in my studio... I don't even feel like to touch it. And I already started to feel quilty spending so much money on it.

Maybe I need to stay away for a while from the studio and see if I am going to miss working with glass or not.

The only thing I am looking forward to is that I am going to Antalya to see my Sis on Wednesday night. She went to England weeks ago and coming back home today. I wasn't able to talk with her for days!!! Apparently she wasn't just my editor and also my theraphist. I really need to see her. "Canım seni çok özledim ve seni görmek için sabırsızlanıyorum.
