James Minson...

Here is James Minson. The Master of Flameworking.

He is an amazing teacher.
He showed us anything and evertyhing we asked for.
It was wonderful to wacht him while he was working on this bouquet.
I found it magical to see him making every flower one by one and then putting them all together.

"Dear James,
Thank you so much for everything. You are an incredible teacher !!!!
I feel sooo lucky that I've met you and had a chance to spend some time with you. I had so much fun during the class and I learned so much from you.
It was a lifetime experience. THANK YOU!!!

I hope to see you here in Istanbul again soon. You know, there are many many shops left in the Grand Bazaar that you haven't been yet. :) "

I am back !!!!

Yes finally I am back in the real world.

You were probably wondering Where I was ?

I took James Minson's boro class in Glass Furnace for the last two weeks.

I am sure you know him, don't you?

Yeees!!!! That James Minson. One of the most talented glass artists in the world, as well as his talents he also is a fascinating person. I don't think there are enough words to express my feelings how much I enjoyed this whole exprience and how happy I was to be there with him and all those wonderful people.

We were 11 girls in the class. Rachel, Markels, Marie, Kelly, Nawal, Semrin, Lily, Emel, Pearly, Ezgi and me. There was another great woman in the class. Carla Illanes. James’s TA. If she wasn't there it wouldn't have been be the same.

I have tones of things to say and hundreds of pictures to show you which would last tens of posts about this experience. So I’d better start soon.

This is James and me. This one taken on the last day of the class just before the student’s exhibition started.
