Ladies Who Launch...
Hiii everyone,
It's been such a long time since my last post, I've been a bit busy. I've got some great news to tell you though. I had an incredible meeting on 14th April with Rose and her friends. It was 12 of us, Rebecca, Rose, Tara, Figen, Ilgın, Kristen, Damaris, Asli, Jenny, Zeynep, Eleni and me. Tara, Figen, Rose and Zeynep came from Izmit, Rebecca came from USA and the others joined us from here.
Some of us design and sell things on the internet, some of us just make things (like jewellery) as a hobby and others like to buy them or write about arts and crafts. Rose was the organiser of the gathering and I am soo glad she'd invited me. I met so many wonderful people and I hope we can keep in touch in the future.
I'll tell you about them from time to time but today I'd like to introduce one of them whose name is Rebecca Kousky who runs a website called Nest, a place you can buy beautiful hand craft products. At the same time you'll be helping other women while you you shop. Nest is a nonprofit organization and provides micro-credit loans mainly to women around the world, to begin or maintain an art or craft based businesses. Rose is one Nests artists who produce some items exclusively for that mission. I feel so lucky and honoured to have met Rebecca. One day if I became a real artist I'd love to be a part of this organization too.
I'd like to thank all of you girls for the great meeting. You brightened my life and I can't wait for our summer meeting.
